solving AVG PROBLEMS / trojan

Ok for those who are experiencing problems with AVG not letting you download Xtrap or detects it as Trojan.

I think this might work:
First open your Cabal let it run then when AVG pops up click ignore..

If it doesn't continue to run--
1)Open your AVG
2) -Click on "Tools" tab
3) --Click on "Advance settings..."
4) there's a bar on the left and right..
on the left bar look under "Resident Shield" then click on "Exceptions"
5) check the "Use excludes for the Resident Shield" box
6) click "add path" then look for your cabal folder
--- by default it should be under :
+My Computer
+Local disc (C: )
+Program Files
-CABAL Online (SG MY)

This only works for AVG 8.0 or 7.5 paid users

eh...it doesnt work for free user?

is best you upgrade your AVG to AVF free edition ... it will be much easier

EDIT: I tried, it works for AVG 8.0. So Wince you can try it too.

sorry for this freakishly late reply.. i couldn't find a near computer to access

anyway.. to make things clear.. it works for 8.0 FREE edition but not 7.5 FREE edition
for 7.5 only paying users have the exclude folder feature
